TurboAnt M10 Lite Performance

Motor and Speed

The M10 Lite has a 350W motor which can provide a top speed of up to 16 mph.

The motor is quite standard in the price class. It provides enough power for individuals commuting through urban environments. Lower speed allows safer riding around pedestrians.

Most US cities have a 20mph speed limit for electric scooters. So the top speed of TurboAnt M10 Lite is a little bit slower than that.

One feature that makes the motor of the M10 Lite different from the standard M10 is its placement. While the M10 had the motor placed in the rear wheel, the M10 Lite has the motor in the front wheel.

Two Speed Modes

In Mode 1, the scooter won’t go faster than 9 mph. This mode is meant for inexperienced riders to safely get to know the scooter.

If you are already familiar with the scooter, you should mostly use Mode 2. In that, you can speed up to 16 mph with better acceleration.

Turboant M10 Lite Cruise Control

Finally, the scooter provides cruise control, a feature that provides a smooth riding experience. Riders can fix their speed using cruise control if they are on a longer commute.

While the cruise control is on, you don’t have to press the throttle.

However, cruise control is not suitable for beginners who lack enough experience when riding in crowded places or individuals who prefer to enjoy a smooth, stress-free ride.

Hill Climbing

The scooter is built for riding in urban environments with relatively flat terrain.

Don’t expect to climb steep hills with M10 Lite.

The M10 can tackle a 15-degree hill climb, meaning the scooter’s motor has enough power to handle slight inclines that are common in urban areas.

We wouldn’t advise riders to take the M10 Lite off-roading in terrain with steep inclines and rough surfaces.

Battery and Range

TurboAnt equipped their M10 Lite with a non-detachable 36V 6.6Ah battery taking 4-5 hours to charge fully. The battery can power the M10 Lite for a 15.5-mile range on a single charge.

The scooter’s range isn’t as good as other Turboant scooters and is suitable for individuals who commute short distances.

Additionally, riders can only achieve this range when using the scooter in Mode 1, meaning the range significantly drops when the individuals switch to a higher mode consuming more power. Thus, you’ll have to consider your needs, preferred use, and travel distance before purchasing the M10 Lite.

The scooter’s battery provides enough power to get you to work and back if you are working within a 9-mile range of your home.

TurboAnt placed the scooter’s charging port on its left side, and you should close it after charging it to prevent damage to electronics from water and dirt when riding.

Brakes

The TurboAbt M10 Lite has a simple braking system comprising a rear disc brake activated using a brake lever on its left handlebar.

In addition to the disc brake at the rear, the Turboant M10 Lite has a front electronic brake.

The stopping distance is about 16 feet on a dry surface, which is about average. However, the rider’s weight and speed affect the brakes’ performance.

Additionally, the brakes will be more or less effective depending on whether the rider is going down a steep hill or riding uphill.

M10 Lite Design and Features

Frame and Deck

The M10 Lite has a 6.3-inch wide deck. The deck isn’t as wide as other scooters’ in the industry. However, it provides sufficient space for riders to stand with the front foot at an angle and the back foot perpendicular to it.

The deck has a 3.2-inch clearance, making it ineffective for riders planning to roll off the curb.

The deck design’s upside is its anti-slip feature, making it easy for riders to keep their balance and ride comfortably even at high speeds.

Additionally, the scooter has invincible wiring, making the scooter look sleek. Also, the invincible wiring minimizes damage to wires and electrical components, making the scooter more durable.

Portability

TurboAnt’s M10 Lite is portable because of its small size and lightweight nature.

At 30.9 pounds, the scooter weighs less than other scooters in its category. Additionally, the M10 Lite has a convenient folding mechanism making it easier for users to store the scooter in a car trunk or at home.

Individuals can easily fold the scooter and carry it in one hand by the stem. You can fold the scooter and store it in your vehicle’s trunk, drive to your destination and use the scooter when needed.

Wheels and Tires

The TurboAnt M10 Lite has 8.5” inflatable pneumatic tires with inner tubes. TurboAnt designed their scooter’s tires to provide riders with a smooth riding experience and providing shock-absorbing capabilities.

However, you can still feel some bumps when riding at top speeds.

The M10’s pneumatic tires require minimal maintenance. The tires are reliable and sturdy, making the scooter perfect for everyday users who need the scooter to commute to work.

Handlebar

The M10 Lite scooter has straight handlebars equipped with rubber coverings. The coverings provide enough grip, and the handlebars’ width (20”) provides more control over the scooter’s steering column.

Also, you can find a brake lever (to stop the scooter) on the left side of the handlebar and a throttle on the right side.

They also have a sleek, integrated display system, providing information about riding mode, speed, battery life, and more.

Riders control the dashboard using two buttons below the display. The scooter’s dashboard can be seen well in overcast conditions. However, riders may experience some difficulties to see the display under direct sunlight.

Overall, the dashboard is easy to navigate and it provides all the necessary data.

Lights

The M10 Lite has front and rear lights providing sufficient illumination and safety.

For instance, the scooter has a white LED headlight providing enough illumination when riding during nighttime or in dark conditions. Additionally, it has a red taillight, helping keep riders safe from other motorists when riding at night.

Both LED lights consume minimal power, making them perfect since they don’t affect the scooter’s range. The lights have a 1.5W output and provide enough light, allowing riders to see where they are going at night.

The feature makes the scooter perfect for individuals who commute to work, especially if they come home at night or go to work early in the morning.

Ride Quality

The M10 Lite provides an adequate riding experience primarily because of its compact design and lightweight nature.

Additionally, TurboAnt changed the scooter’s design and moved the battery from its handlebar to the deck, making it more stable. However, the scooter has no suspension, making the ride less smooth.

The scooter’s pneumatic tires don’t provide enough shock absorption. However, they still help provide a smoother experience, especially when riding on relatively smooth surfaces.

Additionally, the scooter has a USB phone charging port you can take advantage of while on the go.

TurboAnt M10 Lite Review Conclusions

The TurboAnt M10 provides solid performance. However, it isn’t spectacular. The scooter’s taillight provides some safety, and the motor performs well for the price.
